A HID work light is mainly composed of the shell, the front cover glass, the reflector, the HID xenon bulb, and the HID ballast. Each component has a direct influence on the overall life of the light.
Light shell
The main materials of the light shell in the market are high hardness nylon and aluminum. There are two kinds of surface treatment processes, one is the matte lines, and the other is bright paint.
Front cover glass
Small as it is, if the front cover glass is not made of good ingredients, the possible consequence is the cracking and even explosion. Generally low-end lights utilize ordinary glass, mainly silica while high-end light products may use diboride (commonly known as tempered glass). One of the most important characteristics of this material is that it is able to withstand large temperature changes. For example, after a long time¡®s work, HID work lights suddenly expose to water environment. It is likely to crack when it touches water. However, the front cover with tempered glass can avoid such a situation.

Reflector
The reflector can be divided into two types in line with the material: ordinary metal and aluminum with high efficiently heat the. In fact, for the reflector, the material is not the most important. It is the surface treatment of the reflector that matters. It is the plating. This will directly impact on the light illumination. Whether the light can give even light depends on it.
Bulb and ballast
The bulb and the ballast are two key parts of a light. With these two parts, the light can complete its mission of being a light. On the electricity supply, the majority of HID work lights employ 24V battery. But there is a small part of 12V, 36V and 48V. On the power, the mainstream power used in HID work lights is 35W, and 55W. And the brightness of 35W is equal to that of a 100W halogen light. HID light ballast can produce constant and stable electric voltage.
